ome "FRIED RICE" in our shop for our monthly exhibition, For the special burger, we capture the essence of the lower eastside apparelbrand, and we found the inspiration talking to them and building this exhibition together. The "Fried Rice" chef special burger was born after those ideas: New York City, "understated but exceptional", Classic Americandiner burger with a MASH thing.

The FRIED RICE concept started as a fun metaphor for the artistic and cultural diversity of designer MAYA’s neighborhood in downtown New York City. It is a co电焊工纯棉工作服

An eclectic “high street” urban brand, the FRIED RICE aesthetic represents a mash-up of classic street style elements, global influences, quirky asymmetry and an artistic obsession with unique design details and versatile styling. Since launching in January of 2016, FRIED RICE has grown quickly and is carried in some of the hottest select shops across the US, Canada and Asia, including LA’s the Well, Grit & Honor inNew York City’s Soho district, Urban Outfitters (US national retailer) and Bauhaus (HK retail chain).

FRIED RICE founder MAYA is a rare find in urban fashion. A downtown New Yorker born in China’s industrial north coast, MAYA is one of the few Chinese female designers selling in hot US fashion districts like New York’s Soho, LA’s Melrose, and in major international retailers like Urban Outfitters (USA) and Bauhaus (Hong Kong). MAYA has no heroes in the fashion world. A self-taught artist, she is most inspired by individualist cultural innovators like punk poet Patti Smith, street art icon Basquiat, and soulful eccentric singer Tom Waits. Honored by Kempt StyleMagazine as “some of the most unique outerwear we’ve seen, MAYA’s styles have recently been worn by celebrities on the red carpet for film premieres at the Berlin International Film Festival and New York’s Tribeca Film Festival, and also by style icons such as the NBA’s Russell Westbrook.
